The 1900 II Olympiad in Paris was held as part of the Exposition Universelle, the World’s Fair, blending sports with cultural and technological showcases. Women participated for the first time, marking a historic milestone. Featuring unconventional events like motor racing, ballooning, and live pigeon shooting, the Paris Games were chaotic but contributed to the evolution of the modern Olympics. Despite its disarray, the 1900 Olympics laid the groundwork for future Games by expanding international sports competition.
