Index card measures approximately 3.5" x 5.5" in dimension and has been hand-signed and inscribed by James Goodson (D. 2014).

James Goodson, born in 1921 in New York, volunteered for service with the RAF’s 133 Eagle Squadron before the United States entered the war. His combat career began in the skies over Europe, where he quickly distinguished himself as a skilled pilot and a fearless fighter. When the Eagle Squadrons transferred to the USAAF, Goodson joined the 336th Fighter Squadron, where he continued his remarkable combat record. Over the course of the war, he was credited with 32 enemy aircraft destroyed, making him one of the top American aces of WWII. Goodson's valor and leadership earned him numerous decorations, including the Distinguished Service Cross, Silver Star, and the Distinguished Flying Cross.
