During the Daytona night race, Ryan Preece was racing on lap 157 when Erik Jones made contact with Preece from behind, causing Preece’s car to veer down the track and collide with his teammate Chase Briscoe. This collision sent Ryan’s car spinning onto the apron, lifting off the ground, and flipping onto its roof. The car then rolled approximately ten times before finally coming to a stop on its wheels. Preece’s chances of competing in the NASCAR playoffs were extinguished by the crash, given his points standing at the start of the race.
