Nolan Ryan was a pitcher in the MLB for 27 seasons. During his career he accumulated 5,714 strikeouts and 7 no-hitters, both MLB records. Ryan appeared in eight All-Star Games, was named to the All-Century Team and was a 1st ballot Hall of Famer inducted in 1999. When Ryan signed with the Astros, he became the first Million Dollar player in MLB history. For the Astros, Ryan twice led the NL in ERA and led them to the playoffs 3 times.
