Issued to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The obverse of this gold quarter eagle features a standing female figure symbolic of Liberty, holding in one hand the Declaration of Independence and in the other the Torch of Freedom. A representation of Independence Hall in Philadelphia is depicted on the reverse. Low mintage of 46,019.
