Born in 1936, Moshe Michaan was born in Haifa, Israeli and started his career as a nightclub singer. After completing his military service he worked in industrial design in Beersheva for eight years before moving to the United States, where he established night clubs and restaurants. After the Yom Kippur War, he sold his businesses and moved to Tel Aviv to devote himself to painting in which he primarily works in oils and gouache.
