Paul Coffey was born on June 1, 1961 in Weston, Ontario, and at the age of 17 he went on to play for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Major Junior Hockey League. After that, the Edmonton Oilers selected Coffey with the sixth overall pick in the 1980 NHL Draft. In his rookie season, Coffey recorded 32 points. Coffey won the Norris Trophy as the National Hockey League's best defenseman in the 1984-85 season. He repeated with another Norris Trophy in the 1985-86 season when he finished third in scoring with 138 points. This 16" x 24" composite display is highlighted by an action photo of Coffey. This patented framed breaking through contains an Edmonton Oilers logo puck breaking through the Plexiglas. Coffey has inked his signature in black paint pen. Coffey's signature was witnessed under UDA's Five-Step Authentication Process.
