1909-2016 America's Great Lincoln Penny Collection of (110) U.S. Pennies with Display Case

Collection comes with all (110) coins shown dated 1909-2016. Collection also includes the 1943 steel wheat penny. Please note the display case has minor damage.

In 1909, the Lincoln Cent was introduced to honor the 100th anniversary of Lincolns birth. The obverse featured a portrait of Lincoln, while the reverse showed the denomination flanked by two ears of wheat. The coin's designer, Victor David Brenner added his initials to the reverse, creating a wave of criticism from the public. The mint immediately removed he initials only to add them again in 1918.
