This Boston Red Sox home jersey was worn by slugger David Ortiz during his 2011 All Star campaign. Majestic MLB Authentic Collection tag sewn on with a swatch reading "34 50 11" designating the player, size and year of issue. Team name and player number sewn to jersey in red on navy double tackle twill. The jersey shows some nice game usage with some dirt staining most notably in the left front ribcage area. Hand-signed and inscribed "Big Papi" on the reverse side in black felt tip pen by David Ortiz.
David Ortiz is a nine-time All-Star, a three-time World Series champion and he holds the Red Sox single-season record for home runs with 54, set during the 2006 season. He is the all-time leader in MLB history for home runs (381), RBIs (1,245) and hits (1,758) by a DH. Ortiz has hit 431 career home runs, which ranks 45th on the MLB all-time home run list.
The jersey includes an official James Spence Authentication Auction House LOA for authenticity purposes. Also includes a Mears LOA to authentic the jersey as being game-used.
