Most Dallas Mavericks fans, most NBA fans really, didn't know much about Dirk Nowitzki when the team made him the ninth overall pick in the 1998 NBA Draft. A tall, thin shooter out of Germany, he played 47 games at the age of 20 and averaged just 8.2 points and 3.4 rebounds as a rookie. It didn't him long after that to establish his greatness. He upped those numbers to 17.5 and 6.5 in his second season, and by his fourth season, he was representing the Mavericks in the All-Star Game. He would eventually go to 11 consecutive All-Star Games before skipping the 2013 event and then going in '14 and '15. He began his 20th season in the league in 2017-18, all with Dallas. Nowitzki has autographed and inscribed "13x All-Star" on this Dallas Mavericks white Adidas Swingman jersey in silver paint pen.
