While point guards have tended to be undervalued in the recent NBA thanks to the extraordinary amount of 3-pointers being hoisted up at every position, the 2016 NBA Draft was littered with point guard selections. In all, three of the first seven selections that year were point guards. Ben Simmons went to the 76ers as a point forward with the first overall pick, and Jamal Murray was tabbed with the seventh overall pick by the Denver Nuggets. While Simmons was injured the entire 2016-17 season, and many other players from the draft class took a lot of time to get accustomed to life in the NBA, Murray looked like he belonged from day one. He earned a spot in the Rising Stars Game on All-Star Game weekend, and that served as his coming out party so to speak. He earned MVP honors in the game. Murray has autographed and inscribed "Rising Stars '17 MVP" on this limited edition (27) Denver Nuggets blue Adidas Swingman jersey in silver paint pen.
