While he ranks as one of the top point guards of the 1990s, Penny Hardaway actually began his career as a shooting guard. Playing behind veteran Scott Skiles, the Memphis native was a quick learner, eventually taking over the starting point guard duties midway through his rookie season of 1993-94. He went on to finish second in voting for the Rookie of Year Award behind Chris Webber, the man he was traded for after the draft. In the next two seasons, he quickly established himself as the league's premier lead guard, earning All-NBA First Team honors both seasons. He averaged more than 20 points, seven assists and four rebounds in each campaign. The Magic won the Eastern Conference in 1995. Hardaway has autographed and inscribed "2x All-NBA 1st Team" on the front of this limited edition (25) Orlando Magic blue Swingman Mitchell & Ness jersey in black paint pen.
