The obverse of the Abraham Lincoln Eagle Silver Round includes the right-profile portrait of Lincoln similar to the one found today on the US circulation penny. His bust is surrounded by engravings also inspired by the penny which include In God We Trust above his head and the word Liberty to the bottom left. On the reverse of all silver rounds in the Lincoln Eagle Silver Round issue is the heraldic eagle of the United States. This depiction sets the bird on its claws, standing with one on the ground and one on the heraldic shield of the United States.
