National Baseball Hall of Fame postcard has been hand-signed in blue ink pen by Casey Stengel (D. 1975, Boston Braves, HOF).
Stengel was a Hall of Fame manager for 4 different franchises during his career – the Brooklyn Dodgers, Boston Braves, New York Yankees and New York Mets. He spent 25 seasons as a skipper in professional baseball. Casey’s longest tenure was with the New York Yankees from 1949-1960. During that 12 year span, he led the pinstripes to seven World Series titles and 10 Pennants, winning five titles during his first five seasons as the Yankees’ manager. Stengel finished his career as the first manager in Mets history, leading them for the first 4 seasons of their existence. His #37 was retired by the Mets in 1965 and by the Yankees in 1970. He was inducted to the Hall of Fame in 1966.
