This historic original 1781 Charlestown LOTTERY Related issue complete, being the popular Revolutionary War Boston printed newspaper with its famous Paul Revere Engraved Masthead. Pages 2 and 3 have articles concerning the Revolutionary War, in which one reads in part:
"Philadelphia, July 25. - We are assured that Lord Cornwallis has detached the whole of his cavalry and part of his infantry, under Col. Tarleton, for South Carolina. It is supposed Cornwallis intends to embark with the remainder of his army, for New York...".
