Rare great condition first edition cookbook with gold foiled embossed dust jacket published in Paris, France in 1973 by Felicie, Inc. Magnificent color, opened only a few times, still smells new. English edition. Original artwork for book completed in 1971. Book was a collaboration between Dali and wife Gala. Dali wrote: "When six years old I wanted to be a cook."
Twelve chapters. 12 "hors-texte" specially designed by Dali. 55 recipes illustrated in color, 21 of the recipes prepared by the leaders of French gastronomy: Lasserre, La Tour d'Argent, Maxim's and Le Buffet de la Gare de Lyon.
Coffee table cookbook measures 8.75" x 12.25" x 1.5".
