The University of Michigan signed contract with the Ohio State University for a 1966 Gymnastics competition. This one-page document is dated July 8, 1965. Hand-signed in black ink by Athletic Directors for both schools HO Fritz Crisler from The University of Michigan Wolverines and Richard C. “R.C.” Larkins for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Herbert Orin "Fritz" Crisler (D. 1982) was the Michigan Wolverine’s head football coach from 1938 to 1947 and Athletic Director from 1948 - 1968. Fritz Crisler introduced the distinctive winged football helmet to the Michigan Wolverines in 1938. He was Inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1954.
