Gem Mint Brilliant Uncirculated Coin. 1 oz (ounce) .999 fine silver.
Boasting one of most iconic designs in American coinage history, the Buffalo Republic Metals Corporation 1 oz Silver round is the ideal addition to your portfolio.
The design of the obverse of this round is taken from James Earle Fraser’s famous Indian Head and Buffalo Nickel, which became one of the most beloved coins in history. Fraser -- a student of Augustus Saint-Gaudens -- was tasked with creating the elusive beauty and dignity of the American West. The featured Native American believed to be an aggregate of three chiefs from differing tribes: Two Moons of the Cheyenne, Big Tree of the Kiowa and Iron Tail of the Lakota Sioux. LIBERTY is inscribed. Black Diamond, a 1,550 pound bison, graces the center of the reverse. Fraser sketched the buffalo at the Central Park Zoo, where Black Diamond was known to woo crowds every day. Inscriptions read 1 TROY oz and .999 FINE SILVER, along with the Mint Mark SI feature.
