Lot of (2) 8" x 10" photos hand-signed in blue felt-tip pen by Andy Carey and Don Larsen. Pitcher Don Larsen's most notable career accomplishment was pitching the ONLY World Series perfect game in the history of MLB; it was also just one of only 23 perfect games in MLB history and 1 of 2 no hitters ever thrown in a MLB postseason game. The PG occurred when he was pitching for the Yankees in Game 5 of the 1956 World Series against the Brooklyn Dodgers on October 8, 1956. His perfect game remained the only no-hitter of any type ever pitched in postseason play for over 50+ years until Philadelphia Phillies ace pitcher Roy Halladay threw a no-hitter against the Cincinnati Reds on October 6, 2010, in Game 1 of the National League Division Series. Larsen's unparalleled game earned him the 1956 World Series MVP Award...Andy Carey was a 3rd baseman who most notably led the league in triples in 1955. While playing for the Yankees in the 1956 World Series, Carey twice helped preserve the perfect game -- In the 2nd inning, Jackie Robinson smacked a shot between 3rd & short that Carey knocked down, allowing Yankees shortstop Gil McDougal to pick up the ball & get Robinson at first. Then in the 8th, he robbed Gil Hodges by snaring a low line drive that seemed headed for left field. (!) RARE TO HAVE A DUAL SIGNED WITH ANDY CAREY (d. 2011). The autographs include an LOA and lifetime authenticity guarantee from Pristine Auction.
