The Curse of the Bambino haunted the Boston Red Sox for 84 years. In 1920 Red Sox owner Harry Frazee sold Babe Ruths contract to the New York Yankees. Since then the Yankees claimed 26 Championships. The Red Sox meanwhile made just four World Series appearances since 1918 and losing each of them. On Wednesday night October 27th 2004 the 84-year Curse of the Bambino was finally reversed when the Boston Red Sox swept the Cardinals 4 to 0.
