In 2014 Christie's Auctions, New York a painting by Picasso “ The Women of Algiers”  became the most expensive work of art ever sold at auction when it was picked up for $179.4 million.

In 1955 Picasso moved his home and Studio to La Californie in Cannes, located in the south of France. This art serves as a time capsule of the great artist’s life on a specific date in November of that year. The art listed is of a preliminary study for the painting sold at the 2014 auction.

This two-sided lithograph is an exact fine art print of the pencil, pen and ink sketchbook he created from November 1st, 1955 to January 14th, 1956. Each Lithograph is individually dated and unsigned.
