Salvador Dali signed limited edition of 300 and titled Lady Butterfly (Les Papillion) on arches archival paper. Published under contract with Gilbert Hamon dated 1981 and published in 1983. It is represented in the Albert Field book The Official Catalog of the graphic works of Salvador Dali.
The art is mixed media with lithograph and etching. It was created from the original 1951 painting titled Landscape with Cavalier and Gala. Gala is the Queen butterfly and Dali's muse, wife and model. It depicts a series of characters either as a butterfly or with butterfly on a surrealistic landscape with boats, a town and mountain top Villa in the distance as well as multiple figures. The horseman or Cavalier is the etching portion of the graphic. It has a certificate of authenticity included. Matted to an overall size of 29" x 32" with paper size of 22" x 29". In excellent condition.
