"La Lozana" is a mixed media serigraph on a museum quality hardboard panel. This is part of the Mujeres Suite by Spanish artist Jose Royo. This piece measures 26" x 16". The artist has hand-signed and numbered this beautiful piece. It is rare and numbered HC 5/5. It comes with the accompanying book which measures 16-3/4" x 12-3/8". The included book is hand-signed by Royo (signature is slightly smudged). This package also includes the original portfolio case. This piece comes with its original certificate of authenticity. The gifted, great Spanish artist Jose Royo has swept through the art world like a tidal wave of passion. His deeply romantic images are created with sweeping brush strokes and infinitely complex swirls of color, creating astonishing yet subtle effects of light, shadow, motion and emotion. Royo is one of the finest modern masters of a classical tradition which was started by the great impressionists Renoir and Sorolla. Royo was commissioned to paint the Royal Portraits of the King and Queen of Spain early in his career, followed by a flood of private commissions from notable figures all over the world.
