Photo measures 8" x 10" in size and has been hand-signed and inscribed by Vincent J. Speranza.

Vince Speranza served in the 101st Airborne Division, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment. He survived the brutal winter of '44/'45 and the Battle of the Bulge, one of the deadliest battles in World War II. Vince is also well known for having his own beer named after him after the war was over. The beer is better known as "Airborne" Beer.

A portion of the sale of this auction will be donated to the General James. H Doolittle Scholarship Fund. The General James H. Doolittle Scholarship Fund was founded to assist college students by awarding one scholarship annually in the maximum amount of $5,000 to a deserving student who is pursuing a baccalaureate or advanced degree in aeronautical engineering or an aerospace science. Students are selected based on their scholastic achievement, school and community participation, demonstrated leadership potential and financial need.
