The portfolio is in excellent condition. Purchased from the estate of a former U.S. Congressman who bought the suite in 1969.

Salvador Dali signed limited edition suite of (25) lithographs, each with a unique image. In excellent condition, includes original box with text and descriptive pages. Each of the 25 pieces is individually signed by Dali and numbered in pencil.

The boxed text and works includes 3 translated Plays (14 pages) written by Marquis de Sade in the 1700's. Shorewood Publishers commissioned Dali to paint the 25 Piece Suite, in essence, to interpret the plays and visually illustrate Sade's original works.

The resulting 25 individual works by Dali have been critically proclaimed, "Stunning" and are considered some of Dali's Greatest Masterpieces!

The suite includes an official Salvador Dali Gallery COA for authenticity purposes.

 

The work of Salvador Dali (1904-1989) is associated with the surrealist movement of the 20th Century.
