Walter Johnson Signed Baseball (JSA LOA)

Official Regulation League Baseball. Baseball has been hand-signed in ink pen by Walter Johnson (D 1946, Senators, HOF) and Glenn Myatt (D 1969, Indians).

Walter “Big Train” Johnson, known as arguably the greatest pitcher who ever lived somehow managed to win 417 games (2nd All Time) and have a lifetime ERA of 2.17 while throwing 110 shutouts for a team that was among the worst teams in History. Also, the hero if the 1924 World Series, (The only championship that Washington would ever win) Walter Johnson was as nice of a person as he was a feared a pitcher. One of the most celebrated and dominating players in baseball history, Johnson established several pitching records, some of which remain unbroken. He remains by far the all-time career leader in shutouts with 110, second in wins with 417, and fourth in complete games with 531. He once held the career record in strikeouts with 3,508 and was the only player in the 3,000 strikeout club for over 50 years until Bob Gibson recorded his 3,000th strikeout in 1974. Johnson led the league in strikeouts a Major League record 12 times—one more than current strikeout leader Nolan Ryan—including a record eight consecutive seasons. Johnson's gentle nature was legendary, and to this day he is held up as an example of good sportsmanship, while his name has become synonymous with friendly competition.

This baseball is a true unique piece as the Johnson signature is very clear & the ball has not had any modifications made to it, is not shellacked, & is in amazing condition or any signed baseball, not to mention its age. A true find & also Hall Of Fame worthy
