Custom 1974 "Super Fight II" Gold Everlast Boxing Glove, commemorating the second of the three Ali-Frazier fights, dated January 28, 1974 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. This gold glove has been hand-signed in black felt-tip pen by Muhammad Ali as "Cassius Clay" (D 2016, HOF), as well as by Joe Frazier (HOF). This is a museum quality piece!
Held in between their two title bouts, The Fight of the Century in 1971 and The Thrilla in Manila in 1975, this second fight was scheduled for twelve rounds. Promoted as Super Fight II, Ali wanted to avenge his loss to Frazier in their first fight, and a world title try at Heavyweight champion George Foreman, who had dethroned Frazier, was at stake.
The autograph includes an official James Spence Authentication (JSA) hologram and matching LOA for authenticity purposes.
Authentication: JSA LOA
