This lot includes a pair of Custom "Ichiro" Mizuno batting gloves which were game-worn by Ichiro Suzuki during his 2012 season with the Seattle Mariners. The right glove is hand-signed in black felt tip pen by Ichiro.
On August 7, 2016, Ichiro made the 3000th hit of his MLB career, becoming only the 30th player ever to do so. In total he has over 4,000 hits in his career.
Ichiro began his career in the United States with the Seattle Mariners, with whom he played for 11 seasons. He currently plays for the New York Yankees. Ichiro has established a number of batting records, including MLB's single-season record for hits with 262. He had 10 consecutive 200-hit seasons, the longest streak by any player. Between his career hits in Japan's and America's major leagues, Ichiro stands at third place all-time in top-flight hits, trailing only Pete Rose and Ty Cobb.
The gloves include an official Ichiro Suzuki full page COA from Mill Creek Sports for authenticity purposes. The COA is also hand-signed by Ichiro.
