At the 1962 U.S. Open played at Oakmont, Jack defeated the heavily favored Arnold Palmer in just his 17th start to win his first professional tournament. Nicklaus won his first U.S. Open at the ripe age of 22 and his last Masters Tournament in 1986 at the age of 46. His 18 Major championships are broken down by six Masters, five PGA Championships, four U.S. Opens, and three British Opens.
