Official American League baseball has been hand signed in black ink pen by Babe Ruth (Yankees, D 1948, HOF) and Tony Lazzeri (Yankees, HOF, D 1946).

Babe Ruth, nicknamed "the Bambino" and "the Sultan of Swat", played Major League Baseball for the Red Sox, Yankees, and Braves over his 22 season career (1914-1935). Ruth was a 7x World Series Champion and 12x AL Home Run Champion. Ruth's career slugging % of .690 is a record that still holds today. He finished his iconic career with a .342 batting average, 2,873 hits and 714 Home Runs.
