Mid-1960's San Diego Chargers jersey has been game-used and practice-used by Lance Alworth.
This jersey features a Southland tag that doesn't have a size measurement. The shade of white on the jersey's nameplate suggests that this is not an original nameplate. Due to the trims on the sleeves, waist, and collar, it is safe to assume that this jersey was recycled and made into a practice jersey. Please note, Alworth did not sign this jersey but this is still an amazing piece for any Chargers or football fan to own and put in their own collection! Don't miss out on this unbelievable opportunity!
Lance Alworth, often referred to as "Bambi" for his graceful playing style, is a legendary former American football player who made a significant impact during his time with the San Diego Chargers. Alworth, a wide receiver, played for the Chargers from 1962 to 1970, establishing himself as one of the most dynamic and prolific pass-catchers in the AFL/NFL. Known for his exceptional speed, precise route running, and remarkable catching ability, Alworth played a crucial role in the Chargers' success during the 1960s. He was a seven-time AFL All-Star and earned six consecutive All-AFL selections. Alworth's impact on the Chargers' franchise was further highlighted by his key role in leading the team to its only AFL championship in 1963. In 1978, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, solidifying his status as one of the greatest receivers in the history of the game.
