"Skyscraper" Marquetry Picture, 20"x32"

An original marquetry picture framed in Cherry titled “Skyscraper.” Marquetry is a traditional method of cutting and piecing together thin veneers of wood to create intricate designs often used to decorate furniture. Voron constructed this one with Cherry, Wenge, and Maple veneers.

Brianna Voron is a visual artist based out of Phoenix, Arizona. She is invested in creating all of her work completely by hand, with the highest quality materials and attention to detail. Her current body of work takes on an illustrative quality, drawing on nature and her own memory for inspiration. Voron spends her days creating in her art studio, working in her wood shop, and wandering the American Southwest.
