Custom matted display measures 16" x 10" in size and features a document that has been matted that has a rare signature hand-signed by 19th President of the United States Rutherford B. Hayes (D. 1893).

President Hayes served with distinction in the Union Army, rising through the ranks to Major General. He was wounded five times and cited for his gallantry.

After the war, Rutherford returned to Ohio, serving as a representative to Congress and then as a three term Governor, the last ended when he took office as President. He pledged to only serve one term and retired permanently to Ohio at the conclusion of this term.
