Wayne Gretzky, often hailed as the greatest hockey player of all time, concluded his illustrious NHL career with the New York Rangers. Joining the team in 1996, Gretzky reunited with his former Edmonton Oilers teammate Mark Messier, hoping to recapture some of their past magic. During his three seasons with the Rangers, Gretzky's playmaking skills and leadership were evident, even as his scoring waned compared to his peak years. He retired in 1999, leaving a lasting legacy in the hockey world and an indelible mark on the Rangers' history.
