Photo measures 8" x 10" in size and has been hand-signed and inscribed in blue and black felt-tip pen by Frederick Bock (D. 2005) and Franklin H. MacGregor.

Frederick C. Bock was a World War II pilot who took part in the atomic bombing of Nagasaki in 1945, flying the B-29 bomber The Great Artiste, which was used for scientific measurements of the effects caused by the nuclear weapon.

Franklin H. MacGregor was the bombardier of the B-29 Bomber Top Secret, that was modified to carry the atomic bomb in WWII.

A portion of the sale of this auction will be donated to the General James. H Doolittle Scholarship Fund. The General James H. Doolittle Scholarship Fund was founded to assist college students by awarding one scholarship annually in the maximum amount of $5,000 to a deserving student who is pursuing a baccalaureate or advanced degree in aeronautical engineering or an aerospace science. Students are selected based on their scholastic achievement, school and community participation, demonstrated leadership potential and financial need.
