John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) is recruited for a covert mission to rescue American POWs in Vietnam. Armed with his combat skills, he infiltrates enemy territory, only to be betrayed by his own government. Facing overwhelming odds, he single-handedly fights to survive and liberate the prisoners from captivity.
