"Marilyn Monroe: The Last Shoot" is a photograph printed from the original negative taken by George Barris (1922-2016), hand signed by the photographer. This photo is part of a series entitled "The Last Photos"; they were taken in 1962 just two weeks before Monroe's death and are considered the last photos ever taken of the icon. This photo bears the Edward Weston copyright stamp inverso and Includes Letter of Authenticity. Measures approx. 14" x 11" (image). Due to the age of the piece the paper is slightly wavy.

George Barris was born on June 14th, 1922, in Manhattan, New York City. When his brother bought him a box camera for his sixth birthday, he began a lifelong love affair with photography. In addition to his timeless work with Marilyn Monroe, Barris has captured unforgettable images of icons like Steve McQueen, Charlie Chaplin, Marlon Brando, Frank Sinatra, John Wayne, Clark Gable and Elizabeth Taylor. Barris died on September 30, 2016, at the age of 94.
