1988 Playmates Toys "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" Donatello figure measuring approximately 5" tall. Series 1 with a 10 back. Comes with Katana Blades, Turtle Daggers, Ninja Stars and Weapon Rack accessories. Please note the figure's plastic head.

Released in 1988 - the height of Turtlemania - Playmates Toys grew with the TMNT franchise. Fans will already know that the original "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" comics by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird featured adult themes and were generally targeted at an older audience. While the original serialization continued under Mirage Studios, another team - Archie Comics - was tasked with printing a series based on the hit animated show.

The complete 1988 series 1 set includes: Michaelangelo, Raphael, Donatello, Leonardo, Splinter, April O'Neil, Rocksteady, Bebop, Foot Soldiers and Shredder.

The factory sealed figure has been encapsulated and graded 8.5 by CGA (Action Figure Authority).
